Summary of Functions:
- The Project Engineer shall be responsible for monitoring project completion, budget allocation and the
overall compliance to the project plans and schedule to ensure the integrity and reliability of the assigned
project.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create Appraisal Reports as a result of the actual preconstruction site investigation; check and
submit the evaluation on significant variance from BOQ, plans and specification to the
Construction Project Manager; - Create and implement the Manpower Utilization Schedule, Equipment Utilization Schedule, and
Material Delivery Schedule including quantity, specification, and dates; - Implement timely mobilization of Manpower and Equipment and Construction of Temfacil;
- Implement approved Methodology; Record and Evaluate Accomplishment; Inputs daily progress
output; - Ensure compliance with the Approved project specifications and Quality of Workmanship;
- Direct and instruct the foreman and skilled workers for the day’s assignment;
- Ensures output of construction workers and equipment are in line with the project’s budget;
- Ensure quality of work and the implementations of the different scopes of works comply with the
approved specifications and standard; - Creates survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, or other topographical or geologic data.
- Conducts construction inspection and review the integrity of the structure and recommends
corrective action to avoid cumulative effect of such deviation and recover delay to finish the task
in time; - Provide reports regularly to the Construction Project Manager for updates regarding the project
handled; - Proactively identify issues that could lead to problems and implement solution;
- Inspect or review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, or other
regulations, recommends to the Construction Manager for improvement; - Investigate damage, accidents, or delays at construction sites to ensure that proper construction
procedures are being followed; - Prepares necessary reports for third party evaluation, deficiency and progress reports, and other
reports requested by management.
Qualifications:
- Must be a licensed Civil Engineer.
- Preferably three (3) years experience in construction, experience on hands-on implementation
related to construction projects; excellent knowledge of construction materials and equipment;
well-versed on actual productivity rates - Experience in horizontal projects is an advantage.
