The R&D Laboratory Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing the research and development activities for their assigned laboratory and product category.
The main responsibility is to proactively drive and oversee the development, innovation and renovation/ improvement of products/systems/processes from inception through all stages of development to meet management business objectives and timetables. This includes proper documentation and end-to-end project management according to procedures and guidelines.
This role works closely with R&D Division Manager and cross functional teams such as Marketing, Finance, Operations, Purchasing & Planning and collaborates with the President, EVP of Sales and Marketing on overall directions, Technical Center for bake testing, and with Technical Product Manager for regulatory and compliance requirements.
The R&D Lab Supervisor is the resource person providing technical and scientific expertise/ guidance leading to the development and improvement of product innovation, quality and safety standards for raw materials, equipment, and processes as related to their Lab Category.
The R&D Lab Supervisor serves as functional expert in food quality and safety, including Risk Management, Shelf-life Studies, Food Safety etc. with the goal of ensuring product attribute superiority, high product acceptability, and business sustainability.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in food technology, Chemical Engineering, and other related fields
- Professionals with minimum of 8 years of experience, with at least 2 years in supervisory capacity
- Experience within the food solutions industry is an advantage.
